The Design HUB is playing host to a free exhibition, entitled «Japan, a country of contrasts». It is on until 22 February and has been organised by A-FAD in collaboration with the Japanese cultural organisation, JackiePartners. The activity focuses on Spain-Japan Dual Year, commemorating the 400th anniversary of relations between the Spanish State and Japan.
Curated by Magda Polo and Jacqueline Teissier, «Japan, a country of contrasts» presents the work of four artists who have managed to fuse tradition and modernity in a Japanese multidisciplinary shows. Artists participating: Sadato Kurotake with their screens inspired works the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, Cecilie Okada with digital illustration, as the representative Megumi Koyama craft and textile Shusaku Akita Japanese composer.
